Helping you find your Au Pair from coast to coast
AIFS Au Pair is guided by the Child Wise framework, helping families across Australia find the perfect Au Pair. From Perth to Sydney and from major cities to rural locations, we support hundreds of families every year.
Once your application is complete, parents can browse The HUB, AIFS Au Pair’s database, to view available Au Pairs. We also offer a free bespoke matching service to handpick candidates best suited to your family’s needs. Finding an Au Pair in Australia has never been easier.

Let us do the hard work for you
Not every family has the time to view Au Pair profiles on The HUB. If you need an extra pair of hands or if you’re struggling to find what you’re looking for, our bespoke matching service can help find a selection of candidates that fit your preferences and requirements. This service is free, and our selection is personally curated to ensure we meet your family’s needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
01How long does it take to find an Au Pair?
Generally it takes around 4-8 weeks to find an Au Pair for your family, but this can change throughout the year. Au Pairs from countries other than Germany can normally arrive in Australia at short notice, although finding the right match between your family and an Au Pair is our number one priority. While the matching process may take a little more time, it ensures that your Au Pair will fit your family and its requirements.
-
02What childcare experience do AIFS Au Pairs have?
Au Pairs must have a minimum of 200 referenced hours of childcare experience. This may include internships in kindergartens, work as camp counsellors, sports coaches, or doing regular babysitting or tutoring. The level and type of experience you require from your Au Pair can be chosen based on our three Au Pair tiers.
-
03I already know someone who'd like to live and work in Australia as our Au Pair, can you help?
Yes, AIFS can assist with a pre-match situation. Please contact us for further information.
-
04Can I get an Au Pair placement for longer than six months?
Our Au Pairs come to Australia on a Working Holiday visa and can stay in the country for up to 12 months, most of them seek a 6- or 9-month placement in High Season. However, Au Pairs often extend their placement. If you and your Au Pair wish to extend their placement, please contact AIFS. We will be able to walk you through the steps as well as the related costs for extending.

05If my Au Pair placement doesn’t work out, what happens?
