What Host Families Need to Know
Currently, a pause has been placed on application processing for most subclass 462 Work and Holiday visa countries. While applications for the subclass 417 Working Holiday visa remain open, applications submitted after 1 July are not being approved at the same rate as those submitted prior to 30 June. Current government advice indicates that visas are still being processed and approved however, significant delays should be expected.
AIFS is actively seeking further information regarding expected processing timeframes and when normal processing of subclass 462 visas may resume. In the meantime, please be aware that we are unable to confirm Au Pair start dates due to the uncertainty surrounding visa processing.
If you would like to begin your application, we are happy to complete all necessary processing in advance. This will allow us to fast-track your application as soon as visa processing recommences.
We understand that these delays may be frustrating and appreciate your patience. If you have any questions regarding visa processing delays, please contact us at [email protected] or call 1300 889 067.
